Objectives for the year:
Students will be able to
- master 5th grade math skills as defined by the Everyday Math Curriculum
- Read a minimum of 25 books
- Increase reading levels by 3 levels
- Meet 5th grade Science and Social Studies standards
- Use technology to research, create, and collaborate across the curriculum and throughout the year.
Students will need supplies all year to make sure that our class runs smoothly, check your supplies regularly and replenish anything that you are missing!

Literacy - Introduction to the Reader's and Writer's Workshop - Creating rules for our workshop, starting our Just Right Books, beginning our writer's notebooks, starting our personal narratives.
