Creating a Wiki for a School

 

Executive Summary

 

This Wiki for a school media center will be created by the librarian, but will be run and updated by all the staff and students in the school. The idea for the Wiki is that it will be a running collaboration of the students achievement and an online community environment throughout the entire school year.

 

At the beginning of the year, each staff member will get their own Wiki classroom page for their class or specialty area. The administration and support staff will also get their own page.  Teachers will be updating their wikis, as will students, throughout the school year.  Teachers will be able to keep a record of all the work and projects and link to outside resources all on one page. Students can upload projects and reports, or can add comments to the Wiki.  Because you can track the history of the progress of what has been done throughout the year will be able to be tracked on the Wiki.
